Dr. Shalini Machado
completed her graduation from Madras Dental College in
1987, securing the Gold Medal in Anatomy.
She was honoured the Colgate-Palmolive Scholarship for
securing the highest aggregate of marks in the
1st and the 2nd year of BDS and for the aggregate of all
Four years. This was coupled with a exposure
to a wealth of Clinical material,at Government Dental
Hospital, Chennai.
She did her early training with Dr.John Sebastian, a Senior
Consultant attatched to Cancer Hospital, Adyar; Chennai;
reknown for his Prosthetic work, in Cancer patients. Besides
working at St.John's Medical College Hospital, she put
in several years with , one of the Senior, very successful
Dentist's of Bangalore, who runs a leading Dental Centre
& headed the Department at St.John's Medical College
Hospital, for many, many years,learning the ropes of Private
Practice.
Over the years she has kept abreast with what is state-of-the-art
in modalities of treatment, besides equipment & materials.
through conferences, hands-on workshops, personal study
& inter-action with Visiting Consultants. She is now a qualified implantalogist. She is an
active member of the Indian Dental Association. |
